Dr. Yu-Ming Li has been working in Logistics University of Chinese People’s Armed Police Forces (formerly known as Medical College of Chinese People’s Armed Police Forces) since July 1995. Since 2000, he served as vice-president and president of Pinjin Hospital, affiliated to Logistics University of Chinese People’s Armed Police Forces, respectively. From 2011, he served as the president of Logistics University of Chinese People’s Armed Police Forces. He was trained as a physician scientist in cardiovascular medicine at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, where he received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. From 1994 to 1995, He was working in University of Cincinnati as a visiting scholar. From 2002, he served as the director of Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Chinese People’s Armed Polices. He served as the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Cardiology, Chinese Journal of Hypertension, and Medical Journal of Chinese PLA. He is now holding the membership of standing committee of Hypertension Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the membership of Medical Science Committee of Chinese PLA, the membership of American Physiological Society, and served as vice chairman of cardiovascular medicine, Tianjin Branch of Chinese Medical Association. His major research interests are salt sensitive hypertension and myocardial ischemia induced ventricular remodeling, and he has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles.
