Research Interests

-Mechanical Circulatory support in adults and children, focusing on new device technology like implantable biventricular assist devices, new approaches for minimal invasive implantation; Right ventricular failure and optional treatment before and after LVAD implantation; myocardial recovery and MCS explantation, indicators for myocardial recovery. 

-Cardiac transplantation: non-invasive rejection monitoring, using marginal organ donors, different immunosuppressive regimes especially in children, transplantat vasculopathy and treatment.   

-Cardiac Surgery: Congenital heart surgery and mechanical circulatory support in children
